Google keeps files in the Trash folder for 30 days before automatically deleting them. If you delete a shared file from Google Drive, others can see it until you delete the file permanently. Once a file is out of the Trash, there is no way to recover it again.

As mentioned by us, deleted files are kept in the Trash folder by Google for a month before they are permanently deleted. If you change your mind about deleting a particular file, you can easily (recover) it from the Trash within 30 days of deleting it. Also, it is also worth noting that you can restore any file only if this file is yours, that is, you are the owner of the file. If you are not the owner of that file, you will need to contact the person concerned to restore it. Follow the steps given below to restore deleted files from Google Drive –

You go to the Google Drive app on your mobile, click on Trash.
On a computer browser, go to drive.google.com/drive/trash.
You can set your trashed files in order by the date they were trashed to make it easier to find the oldest or latest trashed files.
Click the three-dot icon below the file you want to restore, or right-click the file you want to restore.
Click on Restore.
Your file will now be restored to where it was deleted.
